AILEEN

Aileen Wuornos was an American serial killer, arguably the nation's first female to hold the title. She was failed by society from the moment she was born in 1956. Her story is tragic from beginning to end. Aileen died by execution inside Florida State Prison in 2002. While murder is not condoned, her case is one that has captivated millions across the globe, especially Floridians. I like to think she's watching over us, my guardian angel.
